Great Honeywell portable inverter generator that you can take anywhere!

This portable camping generator has taken on a new life with serious benefits thanks to bad weather. Living in the Great Lakes region and facing the constant threat of power outages forced a lot of consumers into the portable inverter generator market. The Honeywell HW2000i portable inverter generator works great for camping and as a source of light and entertainment through power blackouts.

It is heavier than desired at 58 pounds, but much lighter than other products with the same specs. It is not so hard to move around that problems arise when taken through the interior of a home. The 125cc generator is quiet at 62db, easy to operate and read, and lasts for a long time. Running only a couple of lights and radio or television maxes out performance time at about 6 hours while delivering a 2000 watt output. There is an economy mode that maximizes the energy efficiency on the unit. This feature proved particularly effective when camping and powering the stereo and light at a large outdoor gathering. I like the fact that the generator has two different types of outlets. Four or five would be ideal but non-existent at this price point and power level.

Honeywell put together a really fine piece of equipment in the HW2000i portable inverter generator that seems endlessly useful. It comes highly recommended to outdoor enthusiasts, anyone who pulls a camper, and to families living in areas that experience frequent bad weather. It is not to be recommended for those who generally go without power for extended periods of time, but can make living comfortable for an evening with no electricity.
